From YOU! - Comments of support to the Orchestra

In response to several emails, I am now posting with an area to send comments of support to the orchestra. It is great to let our CSO orchestra members know what a fine job they are doing and that they have our fullest support.

The Columbus Symphony is a world class group of musicians. I am confused as to just why we would hire this marvelous conductor and then destroy the orchestra. At least give him a chance to play with a full deck. The financial issues may require some new blood with fresh ideas and approaches to management. Central Ohio is a great performing arts mecca, and I do believe the support for a high quality symphony is as strong as ever. Now, with a new artistic conductor capable of bringing our CSO back into it's best, is the time to expand and celebrate and MARKET MARKET MARKET. These dedicated musicians have suffered through some years of sagging conductors, but I believe that now they will reap the benefits of their patience to once again be proud of their excellence. Anyone who feels the orchestra should be shut down needs to step aside and let someone else with good skills and intentions take over.

The musicians of the Honolulu Symphony send support and Aloha to our colleagues in Columbus. Always remember: you are not alone. We are watching and hoping for a successful resolution of this nightmare scenario.
